About the Bloodline

the Bloodline (“the” is purposely left in lowercase — duh) is an independant weblog pertaining to news in the conjunto, tejano, and norteño communities specifically in Texas.

This blog is owned and operated by none other than Vincent Winterbourne.

Vincent is a musician with experience in all three styles of music. He is currently the accordion player for Sexto Sueño, a band led by Milo Rivas (former bajo-sexto for Albert Zamora y Talento). Although very capable of playing the electric bass as well as the bajo-sexto, his weapon of choice is the three row diatonic accordion. Due to his appearance and attitude, he is greatly underestimated.

the Bloodline is aimed at promoting events around Texas in the three specific genres listed above. The blog also writes reviews on CDs and when the chance comes, does band interviews. Any band is welcome to be featured; nothing can prevent a band from being featured on this blog.
